Welcome to my website, where you'll find engaging martial arts training videos and free downloadable resources. This is a distance learning program, which means you can learn from the instructional videos I post here. You also have the opportunity to test for rank through video submissions. Simply record yourself performing the techniques as shown in the videos to the best of your ability, upload the video to YouTube, and send me the link. I'll review your video and let you know the results. If you pass the test, you can pay the fee to have your certificate delivered to you electronically via email or have it sent to your home address by postal mail. It's a straightforward process that allows you to learn and progress at your own pace.
Everyone is welcome to participate; it does not matter what country or continent you live on.
If you're interested in becoming one of my online students, simply send an email to info@kenbocjutsu.com. Be sure to include your full name, as that's what will appear on your certificates, as well as the email address you'd like me to use to stay in touch. Once I receive your message, I'll promptly email you a free membership certificate to officially welcome you as one of my students.
If you already hold rank in another system, please make sure to mention that when you request to be a student. Also, make sure to include a copy of your highest rank certificate.
The martial arts systems you'll be learning and advancing in are Kong Su Do, a traditional Korean style of karate, as well as my own American mixed martial arts system called "Ken Boc Jutsu." Ken Boc Jutsu combines elements of Kenpo, Western boxing, Gung Fu, and Japanese Jujutsu. This is a dual program where each rank certificate you earn will feature the names of both martial arts systems. This allows you to earn rank in multiple disciplines as you progress through the ranks.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to study a diverse range of martial arts systems. Each one has offered unique insights and techniques, allowing me to expand my knowledge and skills in this captivating field. From the disciplined forms of traditional styles to the dynamic movements of more modern approaches, I've been fortunate to immerse myself in a rich tapestry of martial arts traditions. This journey has not only enhanced my physical capabilities but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the cultural and philosophical foundations that underpin these ancient practices.
Some of the martial arts systems I’ve had the privilege to study and gain knowledge from are:
American Freestyle Karate
Black Dragon Kenpo
Japanese Jujutsu
Western Boxing
Chinese Kenpo
Jeet Kune Do
Tang Soo Do
Kong Su Do
Taekwondo
Kickboxing
Gung Fu
Certificate Fee: $10.00
Certificate Fee: $25.00
You will earn ranks in both "Kong Su Do" and "Ken Boc Jutsu."

Answer: This is a self-paced program. You study at your own pace.
Answer: No, you can take the test whenever you're ready.
Answer: I do recommend that you have a training partner, but if you don't have someone to train with, let me know and we can come up with a plan that will work for your circumstances.
Answer: No, loose clothing will be fine.
Answer: Yes
After you have learned all the requirements for your current belt level, videotape yourself demonstrating the "techniques and forms," then send me a YouTube link so that I can view and critique your belt test. Note: "Make sure the YouTube video is listed as "unlisted;" this will prevent other people from viewing the video. The only people who can see the video are those to whom you have sent the link." After I have viewed the video and told you the results, you can then delete the video from YouTube.
Send the YouTube link to my email address at: info@kenbocjutsu.com
"In the video, make sure to mention your first and last name and the belt level you are testing for."
Answer: No. However, if you fail three times in a row, you'll have to wait two months before attempting it again. But you won't have to pay any extra fees for retaking a failed test.
Answer: It depends. To prove your previous training, please send me a copy of the certificate showing your highest rank attained with your previous instructor. If you are unable to provide a certificate from your previous instructor, you will need to start over at the white belt level.
You can email a copy of your certificate to: info@kenbocjutsu.com
Answer: Yes. The rank of 3rd Dan is the highest rank one can achieve in the Kong Su Do program. I recommend finding a local karate instructor if you want to move up to a 4th Dan in Kong Su Do.
The only skills you will need to demonstrate during your 2nd and 3rd dan tests are the 9 hyungs covered in my book titled "American Tang Soo Do Hyungs: A Guide to Black Belt."
The 2nd and 3rd Dan tests will pose the greatest challenge among all belt tests, as you will need to showcase all nine hyungs in a single video without any interruptions, while maintaining full speed and power.
Answer: No. I am aware that these forms are taught in a variety of ways. It's fine if you demonstrate these forms in a different way than the way I teach them in the book.
